In this talk, Chris will share the experience of automating LiveOps and talk about what has to be considered and how to implement it. Chris will also share the lessons learned along the way to help you automate your LiveOps. It includes what to consider for the design of LiveOps automation system, how to evaluate your service and game, how an automated LiveOps system could help your game and service, and what you need to prepare for your technical design.
Chris Hong is a game developer and entrepreneur with 30 years of experience. He started his game development career in 1995 as a server & backend programmer and successfully launched 12+ PC and console real-time multiplayer online games and 8+ mobile games. He has worked on such games as Merge Mansion, Merge Vikings, Trials Rising, Football Manager Online, Crossfire, El Kardian, Raycrash and Dungeon of Darkness. Chris has worked as a tech lead, tech director and production director at Ubisoft, Metacore, Neowiz, Smilegate and other companies. He established and successfully ran three game companies for over 15 years. He was honing his ability to balance technical and business aspects and possess extensive experience in all areas of the game industry, including development, live service, business foundation and management, finance, and investment, as well as overseas experience. As he worked at Universities and Polytechnic as a professor and lecturer for over 15 years, he has made numerous presentations and speeches at schools, universities, and events.
