Jussi Autio worked as a mentor in Game Founders Saudi Arabia program. The program used the learning model Jussi invented for Oulu Game Lab as the incubator model for 100 participants. The best 15 teams coming out from incubator continued to the accelerator. In the talk Jussi reflects on his experiences in Riyadh and compares the experiences to his similar work in Finland and the Netherlands.
Jussi Autio has been in the game industry for over 17 years. He’s a business oriented game designer who has, with his teams, won over two dozen different awards. As a mentor or business coach he has helped over 40 teams with an idea turn into game companies. Currently Jussi is a Creative Director of Resistance Games, working on PC strategy games. Their latest title Great Houses of Calderia is on Early Access with very positive ratings. Previously they launched XCom -style turn based tactics game called Company of Crime.
