As a Digital Producer with deep roots in the cultural sector, Anna Laamanen specializes in designing immersive, interactive experiences that bridge the gap between art and technology she currently leads a sub-project within the Finnish National Gallery’s Digital National Gallery initiative, focusing on creating content inspired by our extensive art collection: producing virtual exhibitions, video essays, and gamified art projects that make art accessible to a wider audience. Anna’s experience spans digital content production, project management, and service development, with a particular focus on virtual platforms and gamified art initiatives, such as her recent project Art Heist in Fortnite Creative.
Anna brings a unique blend of creative and technical skills, backed by a Master of Arts in Art History, a Bachelor of Humanities, and a Bachelor’s in Cultural Management. She is also completing a Master’s in Digital Media Services, with a thesis in progress. Passionate about collaboration and digital innovation, Anna works alongside artists, cultural institutions, and tech professionals to build engaging cultural experiences.
In this lecture, Anna will explore how the Finnish National Gallery is bringing art to new audiences through innovative digital platforms. Centered on Art Heist, a unique interactive experience built in Fortnite Creative, we’ll dive into the creative and technical journey of developing a virtual art project that reimagines museum engagement.
