You start a new game project and ask yourself “is this game going to be successful?” You can answer this question by developing the game, releasing it and looking at the metrics. Recently game developers have started looking into methods that try to improve the chances of success through audience research before a single line of code is written. This talk will give an overview of how new games are developed at Metacore with a special focus on audience research during preproduction.
